The recent facelift to the control panel was helpful in some ways, but also complicated things unnecessarily. Their pricing has changed to limit domains and file space for entry level customers, but mostly what you get will be more than enough. Bluehost support is great, decently time and friendly.
In the middle of setting up my email address for my site, less than 18 hours of signing up for the service; I get the above email stating my site has been deactivated due to suspicious activity. Really? All I did was send 5 test emails when configuring Microsoft Live and ThunderBird email clients. I was the one who got suspicious…you want me to send you a copy of my drivers license and a utility bill to you or you wont reactivate the account and website? It goes without saying, I cancelled the service and now am waiting 5-10 business days for a refund. Wow!

On the plus side, SiteGround offers free automatic daily backups, access to the Cloudflare CDN, high-performance SSDs for all plans, unlimited email accounts, and integration of the free LetsEncrypt SSL certificate into sites. The company does limit bandwidth and storage, but even those who claim to offer so-called unlimited bandwidth and storage really have some limits in their terms of service.

Bluehost has a culture that is very disruptive to the customer!! When I call tech support I can barely hear the technician's answers/explanations because of the loud background noise--loud music, employees goofing off with loud conversation and laughter, and other strange sounds. This is a problem because their platform is very confusing. I created a site using Weebley but when I return to edit the site, I have to do a lot of work to find where they have stored it. I will be returning to GoDaddy. Their platform is easy to navigate and their tech support team act like professionals and not kids on a playground.

BlueHost is one of the hosting providers with the best pricing. But this doesn’t mean that their services are compromised. The page loading speed is fairly good. This is because they manage the websites on their servers well and move the sites that need more resources to other servers so that they don’t disrupt the functioning of other websites on the same server. They have maximum uptime, which considering their low price, is impressive.

I've had Bluehost for over a year and am deeply disappointed. The people who run the service spend all their time pitching extra services instead of making their service better. When I sought advice from them, they recommended I buy services that I later found I didn't need. (They lied to me.) When I tried to turn off the autorenew for these services, I was told by their rep that THERE WAS NO WAY TO TURN OFF AUTORENEW. In other words, they would keep recharging my card forever. I told the rep flatly that they had no legal right to charge my card for a service that I canceled. He said he turned it off, but they didn't, and have been emailing everyday. (I canceled my card to avoid the autorenew.) I could go on with other complaints but will keep this short. Don't use them. They're gangsters.
