I have used Bluehost for over 12 months and have been very happy with the service they provide. For the money you get extremely good value – I host over 10 sites on the one account and have never had any problems with being told that I have gone over resource limits or used too much bandwidth. I said that sounds like someone is going to charge ME for, and he said yes, BlueHost's charge to me would be $160-something, I think, and an outside vendor would charge me "a few hundred." I said no thanks and hung up. So I checked my files and see that there are dozens of unknown files - it looks like someone in China is parking all of their pages on my site (file names like Ray-Ban, Adidas, etc., so a counterfeit store, I guess). I would think that if BlueHost was about to disable my site for a "virus or malware" - or for any reason - they might let me know.
I've been with bluehost several years as I used it to host my seeds to park the domains for my upcoming projects. I have several domains there about 50 of them. Last incident happened to me that i got hacked and 7 of them were stolen and moved to name.com. I contacted name.com and they replied promptly and they said to wait for bluehost's reply and they will cooperate to move them back. However, bluehost did not reply anything until I post a negative comment on twitter, 10 days later. 10 Days! Its an eternity for them to give a simple "hello, thank you for contacting us" reply. I strongly suggest for you guys to find a better place to host your domains, whatever reasons you are planning to, I think bluehost is NOT a reliable and safe place, its NOT worth it, at all and I advise you to stay away from them.

impossible answer to an impossible question: is this host good? in short, yeah, sure. but can you give money to a corporation which singlehandedly ruined the business and then still sleep at night? hope not. i’ve been putting this off for far too long but it’s time to switch hosts. so can i recommend bluehost to you? sure. if you can sleep at night after that, of course? do your own sanity a favour, fellas.
My original price was $6.95 a month, every year after it went up a $1.00 per month. Last renewal it was $8.95 a month paid in advance. I used their service for 2 years. According to who was in the tech department would be how helpful or non helpful they were. For example, I downloaded a wordpress script from them, with spy ware. I asked for help to remove the spyware/trojan, of course I got their standard answer, “Use a different browser.” (hmm-how does that help remove spyware/trojan?) I had an IT guy check out the site and the trojan attacked his computer too. Yet Bluehost tech which is customer support also, said we needed to use another browser. Last time I called Bluehost to assist with my sites, the tech told me to take all my sites (18) and move to a different host. I did.

Please beware and steer clear of BLUEHOST as web hosts. We spent 2 years and thousands of dollars making a classifieds website . It had traffic of 5 - 15,000 per day and was growing . Blue host discovered there were personals ads on our website and immediately blocked it and removed the whole URL with zero warning or notice . They informed us we had 48 hours before account was wiped and we weren't able to access cPanel to get a proper backup. The only backups we had were over a month old which was our fault but if they had of given warning or allowed us in just once to make backups we'd be fine. Stay away from these scumbags. They wiped away months of work and thousands of dollars because they're based on UTAH so likely they Mormon fuckers. Stay away from their hosting they are scum and the business suffered immensely simply because they don't have any common courtesy . Scum all of them . Thanks

Now three months later most of our dashboard does not work, we realize that our site is being directed to a http and not a https sight and our site shows unsecure. When you type in https and my website address the site is all screwed up looking and if someone uses a Mac is automatically takes them to this screwed up site. I have spent over eight hours talking to the support at Bluehost over the past three days. They first said my developer had written the code incorrectly, then they said I had the wrong SSL certificate (they are the ones that got the certificate for me), then they said they were going to un-install and re-install the certificate and when that did not work they realized the last support person installed it wrong. My developer tells me that Bluehost has not configured the site properly during the migration. They tell me that I would have to reach out to the migration department because they have no way of doing that but they think the code is wrong and not a migration issue. I know it will take 3-4 days for the migration department to contact me and they will ask me questions which will take another 3-4 days and at the end they probably will deny any responsibility. So I am forced to pay my developer $300 to go in an correct the problem on the website that BlueHost created.
