Today, they have an award-winning team of experts on staff, readily available to handle customer support tickets and emails 24 hours a day, seven days a week. While they're on hand to talk you through any issues, they're also keeping an eye on your server (as well as other clients sharing your server). Their security monitoring is round-the-clock and they guarantee uptime rates of 99.9% or better. This uptime rate is by no means outstanding in the industry, but for most end-users, it's all that's required. Their page load speeds (the time it takes for your webpages to load) are industry-leading, however.

When I have recommended a company for hosting I always mention Bluehost. Everything about the process of setup is streamlined and if you need to call Customer Service, they are wonderful. No one talks to you as if you know nothing - they assess your knowledge first - and as a customer I never feel that I actually know more than the agent I am speaking with at any time.

When they want to bring in new customers with their low prices, you’d expect that Bluehost would make transferring your site over relatively painless, especially because most companies will transfer your site for free.
Overall, the SiteGround experience is definitely minimal when compared with what’s available from the Bluehost and GoDaddy plans. The SiteGround WordPress installation is the closest to a manually installed version of WordPress, with just their caching plugin added. New WordPress users may miss the extra features of Bluehost and GoDaddy, but those who are more experienced may appreciate the cleaner experience provided by SiteGround.
While cPanel is known for its ease of use, Bluehost has kicked it up a notch and redesigned it so that it is even easier and more intuitive. This means you get unified login (one username and password combination will get you access to all your Bluehost accounts), integration with and hotlinks to Bluehost’s help features and technical support resources, full featured domain and email management features, and easy upgrades and scalability so that you can make changes to the hosting that backs your website.
A main pull factor for GoDaddy's hosting services is certainly the cost. It's hard to beat web hosting for a dollar per month, especially when they include a free domain name (with annual plan sign-up), cPanel control panel, and some of the industry's fastest webpage load times. They make it not only affordable but super easy to get started — for first-timers, bloggers, business owners, and others.

It has been over 7 years since they acquired this company and it definitely did not shrink in terms of popularity. Is it the same with its quality? I’ve found that every brand has tradeoffs – there is no overall “best” – there is only the best for you based on your goals & preferences. There's some complicated elements to the interface, but after some learning and hiding things you don't use, it's tolerable. I've also had strange uptime issues over the years. Client emails have bounced due to perfectly good domains being blacklisted (blame it on other shared users on the same server). This is a problem which they reverse, but it takes time and people can't send their emails for a while.

I especially find it unacceptable when my friend didn’t get the support from Bluehost to fix anything. He has been paying almost double the price of what other hosting companies would charge for a similar package, and he’s not getting what he deserves to have out of this deal at all. Bottom line is, there’re better service providers out there who are more responsible and would cost less.

The constant up-sells or teased, handicapped features were loathsome. The support is rather bad. Periodically, our client sites would get wiped out or rolled back to the same point in time. Ever-increasing months of work, lost with nary an explanation from them. Finally, we graduated to tier 2 support we were given some insight into what was going on. One of the best business decisions we made was moving away from Bluehost.


Seems like just daily maintenance has been “termed” abusive. I have been hosting my websites at BlueHost for 3 years now, and I do not consider myself an abusive user however, lately anything I do including routine maintenance causes BlueHost servers to over throttle an lock my account. The claim of “Unlimited space” is also false advertising. My sites recently went over 3GB (6 sites combined) and my account was locked until I freed up space. The advertisements say “Unlimited” but the “terms” say otherwise and, you will get a nasty email quoting the terms you probably didn’t know existed because like me you didn’t read them. The trade off for using a cheap hosting company like BlueHost is that you get what you pay for: “limited, slow and hassles but cheap”.
Every business is different, and can call for a special solution that will be designed for their business size, type of clients and staff and even specific industry they deal with. You should not count on finding an ideal service that is going to be suitable for every business regardless of their history is. It may be a good idea to read a few Bluehost reviews first and even then you should pay attention to what the hosting service is supposed to do for your company and your workers. Do you require a simple and intuitive hosting with only basic functions? Will you really use the advanced tools needed by experts and big enterprises? Are there any particular features that are especially beneficial for the industry you work in? If you ask yourself these questions it is going to be much easier to find a trustworthy service that will fit your budget.

One thing that is missing is the ticket based support system. Bluehost recently decided to eliminate ticket based support to focus on personal approach of live chat and phone based support. However, some users may still miss the ticket based support system which is particularly good if your issue cannot be resolved in one live chat or phone session.
impossible answer to an impossible question: is this host good? in short, yeah, sure. but can you give money to a corporation which singlehandedly ruined the business and then still sleep at night? hope not. i’ve been putting this off for far too long but it’s time to switch hosts. so can i recommend bluehost to you? sure. if you can sleep at night after that, of course? do your own sanity a favour, fellas.
My company has been using BlueHost as a web host for a few years now, and all of my dealings with them have been unnecessarily complicated - even regarding what should be simple fixes and queries. For one, the lack of a Support Ticket system is asinine. I was left on-and-off hold with their support center for 2+ straight hours, and when I requested to just be called back/emailed when they received the answer they needed from another department, I was told that I was "REQUIRED to stay on the phone" or I would have to "go through the whole process again" - a COMPLETE waste of my time and workday. Additionally, our site got infected by malware for which we were offered NO support and instead were immediately transferred to a sales department who spouted a lengthy sales pitch and gave no genuine technical advice. When asked to speak with someone who wasn't trying to sell us a product, we were told that wasn't an option. I could go on about the billing department's 2-month runaround JUST for trying to change our password and registrant info - even with legal proof of account ownership and providing them with multiple other methods of verification, all of which were accepted but to no avail... Overall, an atrocious ripoff for the price with disappointing web-building tools and a complete absence of support.

Bluehost hosting service is the best service provider out there. If you do a search for web hosting providers they come up number one in each category and there is a reason for it. They are available 24 hours a day and money back guarantee was one of the reasons I picked them. I own a web development business named Cyber-Farms and the up time is critical.
I tried the basic “shared” plan for several months, the so called better performing and more expensive “cloud” plan for several months and I actually experienced faster page load times with the less expensive “shared” plan and about 1/5 the downtime. Each time I was scheduled to “migrate” hosting plans, “There was a problem in completing the request” and spent several hours frantically trying to communicate with Bluehost chat and on hold over the phone. While on the cloud, my emails were completely inaccessible, for several days, and I was told an outside tech had to be called. Their recommendation to me was to use “gmail” instead. It seems Bluehost is best as a “sales” company at the moment instead of providing fast website page load times, so people can grow their data storage and legitimately grow and upgrade their hosting plans. The Bluehost chat is often times a nightmare to deal with, whether the chat program works at all after 15 minutes and more wait times or freezes as it did with me several times.
Bluehost was my first decent hosting experience. I left 1&1 crooks and needed a host with reasonable support and a billing department that wasn't purposely difficult to reach. Bluehost is mostly known for being a cheap entry-level shared host with easy enough to set up, but it's also an adequate resource for light hosting of other project. They target those interested is launching Wordpress blogs, and provide a reasonably good platform for this. The recent facelift to the control panel was helpful in some ways, but also complicated things unnecessarily. Their pricing has changed to limit domains and file space for entry level customers, but mostly what you get will be more than enough. Bluehost support is great, decently time and friendly.

The bottom line is this: GoDaddy is a go-to domain web host for millions of users world-wide for a reason. So you need to be careful before you commit. I alsodon'tt appreciate their having to pay almost $80 to access thwalkthroughgh video of their services, when most hosting companies offer this for free. With all that said, I´ve been happy with the service as far as uptime and the level of security features available to implement. Overall, there´s no denying that Bluehost offers great value for money.

During my last semester of teaching I was approached by one of my students who said he could optimize my site and get many more readers quickly, but found some security flaws in the site which should be fixed first. He offered to fix it himself for free, but first I contacted support. They did not do much and claimed the site was in good standing with security.
The response times are not what you would call “stable” but they are really quick. There is no set response time you can be expecting, with the majority of the results going around 100-400ms. You can also expect spikes once every few hours, with the response times increasing to nearly 2 seconds. But they are not common enough to consider them a problem.
I have hosted seven of my customer’s websites on Bluehost for nearly ten years. Not once during that time have my clients lost one minute of hosting service for any reason.
