Bluehost Hosting Deals

Once you choose your provider, it's time for you to open an account with the monthly plan that fits your needs. If you still have questions about which plan is suitable for you, call their customer support staff and have them assist you through the registration process. Companies will generally charge a credit card on a monthly basis, however, some companies will also offer discounts for paying a yearly payment at once.
As well as the Akismet and Hello Dolly plugins that are added to new WordPress installations by default, Bluehost will also install and activate a few other extensions, including the WPForms Lite form builder plugin and the OptinMonster plugin that connects your site with this popular email marketing tool. As OptinMonster is a premium service, though, you won’t actually be able to make use of this plugin unless you sign up for a paid account.

One thing that is missing is the ticket based support system. Bluehost recently decided to eliminate ticket based support to focus on personal approach of live chat and phone based support. However, some users may still miss the ticket based support system which is particularly good if your issue cannot be resolved in one live chat or phone session.
We are a small organization with a staff of five employees. Until recently, we were still using personal gmail accounts to handle all of our communication with each other, as well as our congregation. We have recently made the switch to using email addresses available to us through our domain. This gives a much more professional look to our print materials.
Well, I switched to BlueHost to increase the page load speed, etc. That’s not happening! In fact, it’s really bad with going into wp-admin. The recent outage too me by surprise and in talking with them I asked about “cloud redundancy” and was told the entire cloud service was down. There is something definitely wrong with that picture and they really need to look at how they are configured. Anyway, the pricing hook is dead on and I was believed to think I’d get the intro price for 12 months but guess what? Not gonna happen unless you do 3 years. I talked, at length with sales before making the switch and wasn’t told that, in fact was told just the opposite. So, yeah I felt the bait/switch routine.
My company has been using BlueHost as a web host for a few years now, and all of my dealings with them have been unnecessarily complicated - even regarding what should be simple fixes and queries. For one, the lack of a Support Ticket system is asinine. I was left on-and-off hold with their support center for 2+ straight hours, and when I requested to just be called back/emailed when they received the answer they needed from another department, I was told that I was "REQUIRED to stay on the phone" or I would have to "go through the whole process again" - a COMPLETE waste of my time and workday. Additionally, our site got infected by malware for which we were offered NO support and instead were immediately transferred to a sales department who spouted a lengthy sales pitch and gave no genuine technical advice. When asked to speak with someone who wasn't trying to sell us a product, we were told that wasn't an option. I could go on about the billing department's 2-month runaround JUST for trying to change our password and registrant info - even with legal proof of account ownership and providing them with multiple other methods of verification, all of which were accepted but to no avail... Overall, an atrocious ripoff for the price with disappointing web-building tools and a complete absence of support.
The constant up-sells or teased, handicapped features were loathsome. The support is rather bad. Periodically, our client sites would get wiped out or rolled back to the same point in time. Ever-increasing months of work, lost with nary an explanation from them. Finally, we graduated to tier 2 support we were given some insight into what was going on. One of the best business decisions we made was moving away from Bluehost.
For a week I kept trying to get support to help with this, but they had no idea what the problem was. Suddenly they shut down my account because all those problems I was having were excessive server requests (from some change they did but never acknowledged. It's had problems ever since, including getting shut down twice more, the entire database disappearing twice, due to one of their automatic processes, and deleting all the backups.
The Cpanel is provided alongside a number of other features in a customized Bluehost control panel. Cpanel is the first in a number of tabs that offer access to domain search and domain management, site builders, upgrades, dedicated IP settings, Postini anti-spam software, profile and billing details screens, and SSL certificate administration. Some of these features cost extra.

I migrated over to BlueHost after I found that my previous hosting company was blocking my client's emails as Spam without notifying either party. BlueHost had been recommended by a colleague and the process to migrate my URL was fairly painless. Unfortunately, the platform that I had built my site on previously was not supported, and I had to rebuild from scratch. (this I don't consider a negative, just a factor of doing business) I tried a WordPress site, but found the format too constricting. I eventually used an HTML based product and I was easily able to upload those files and create my website. I wholly recommend BlueHost as web hosting provider.
