the emails were working today and all of a sudden after 9AM PST, the emails stopped working. So I contacted bluehost to find out what’s going on. I logged into the account and check as well. i went into the email area and found that all the emails on the account is gone. WTF! I’m with the agent chatting and it’s now 10:31AM PST and still no answer as to what happened and what is going on.
Their unmetered bandwidth means you'll be covered if you experience a spike in website visitors. Host providers commonly offer this, sometimes referring to it as unlimited bandwidth instead. Either way, it means the same thing. Bluehost's technology monitors your resources and temporarily re-assigns your website to an isolated system if it is using excessive resources. As a result, your website performance won't suffer when you have an unexpected increase in users.
According to the same TechRepublic article mentioned earlier, however, AWS’s pricing models are a bit difficult to navigate and figure out just how much you’ll be paying each month. The costs can vary based on features and how much traffic your site gets. So, if your online business is scaling rapidly, your bottom line might be impacted by AWS’s hosting costs.
The Prime Plan gives you everything the plus plan offers but gives you SiteBackup Pro and Domain Privacy. SiteBackup Pro levels up your backup options by allowing you to chose custom intervals for backing up your website and gives you the option to download those backups. Domain Privacy blocks your personal contact information from the whois directory. This keeps your name, address, email, and phone number off of marketing lists which can be used to spam you or plague you with unwanted correspondence from salespeople.
When comparing the performance versus price of VPS plans, Bluehost brings supreme value to the table. In addition to competitive pricing, they offer premium support and excellent uptime compared to other VPS options in the industry. If you’ve outgrown shared hosting, or need the flexibility and security of a VPS, Bluehost is a great choice for you.
I would like to thank all those who have taking time out to write about their experiences with Bluehost. I am writing simply because you have saved me a fortune of Wealth not necessary money but stress, frustration, anger, time, and even depression. I had wanted to buy a Dedicated Hosting and Domain from Bluehost and for their Website Builders to build my Website for me discussion on Chat concluded yesterday at about this time for their Website builder to call me tomorrow. However somehow The Lord Works in a Mysterious ways indeed, l was just checking out Dreamhost and decided to check Bluehost review and l felt so, so sorry the way individual have been treated after reading 110 BAD REVIEWS AGAINT BLUEHOST according to TRUSTPILOT. This is very wrong and l am giving them 1Star in support of people who have gone through hard times with Bluehost and still have the courage to write a review to help people like myself who are yet to fall a victim. Thank you all the reviewers. I have since walked away and will Chat to them soon to cancel the appointment for tomorrow. This is unbelievable and unprofessional of Bluehost, shocking as Wordpress.org still have them as their official distributor, so l read on search engine, and l really worried too about Wordpress.org as they should do something about all these complains coming against their official distributor. I am really very grateful for this lucky escape truly! THANK YOU!

And not only are they not free, they are expensive and limited. Expect to pay a $149.99 migration fee to transfer over a maximum of five sites and 20 e-mail accounts. When they want to bring in new customers with their low prices, you’d expect that Bluehost would make transferring your site over relatively painless, especially because most companies will transfer your site for free.
Before you ever send data to a hosting company, don’t you want to know how secure it is? Bluehost hosting has everything up to date under their servers’ hoods. With shared and dedicated SSL certificates, daily backups and a secure FTP process, Bluehost hosting knows what it means to keep your data safe. If you think about it, this can be one of the selling features for your product as your customers want to know if their personal and private financial information is in good hands before they give you a dime.
Uptime: Like with most providers, HostGator promises a 99.9% uptime.  If this service level isn’t met within a given month, HostGator guarantees to compensate users for that entire month. This, of course, only applies to unexpected downtime and doesn’t include server maintenance. This guarantee just shows how confident HostGator is on their service.
We’ve been with Bluehost for many years. Recently we have encountered problems with e-mails sent from the site. When something goes wrong and there have been no software changes on our end, the finger points to a server issue. The most recent problem was html-formatted e-mails being sent from the code by the mature and widely used phpmailer library. They were being sent as plain text with nr paragraph codes embedded. A ticket to technical support was returned telling us that they don’t offer software support (which we never asked for) and to upgrade PHP from 5.3 to 5.4. This was the wrong answer, given that phpmailer works back to PHP 5.1.
I’ve been using Bluehost for about three years now. As shared-hosting providers go, they are a notch above similar providers. Speed is above average compared to others I’ve used in the past. Though I haven’t needed their support staff a lot in the past few years, the few times I have, they’ve been responsive and friendly. I have just renewed my hosting account for another three years and I can honestly recommend Bluehost to anyone looking for a stable and dependable hosting solution.
Their knowledgebase is full of articles, guides, how-to's, and instructions to get you through almost any problem. They answer their client's most FAQ (frequently asked questions) here as well. The best part about this knowledgebase is that it is nicely organized. You can easily find articles on the topic you desire. Or, search the entire system for a specific questions.
Bluehost, on the other hand, has always provided me fast, solid support. I’ve spoken with them via phone and email and had great experiences with them both times. Bluehost has highly rated customer service and seems to deserve it – although they did come under fire with their response to a DDOS attack in 2015. In a recent incident, they were much more transparent.
Well, I’ve had nothing but hard pressure salesman trying to sell me a website build and SEO word local for $6,000.00 for 6 months; including the website for $3,000.00. They do not want to provide help as the advertise with your webhosting; they make rude comments about you and try to take in the Money from you. They told me how dump I was and I needed to pay them. They won’t spend the time with you to get start. They offer ridiculous high costs for help and then tell me I can make a profit teaching some one else. As you are reading costs for help, you will notice how the prices keep going up and they keep being dishonest. Beware of them. Good Luck asking for a manager!!!
Another great thing about Bluehost is that you can be assured that your website is up at all times and is always secure. This is true as the vendor provides power backups using UPS and diesel generators. Regular user account backups are also implemented. But in the event that you do find fault in the services power backups and decide to withdraw from the service, the vendor has a toll-free refund policy that you can use. However, the vendor has absolute control over all the facets of its services that the possibility of  failure of power backups is virtually remote.

I've been with bluehost several years as I used it to host my seeds to park the domains for my upcoming projects. I have several domains there about 50 of them. Last incident happened to me that i got hacked and 7 of them were stolen and moved to name.com. I contacted name.com and they replied promptly and they said to wait for bluehost's reply and they will cooperate to move them back. However, bluehost did not reply anything until I post a negative comment on twitter, 10 days later. 10 Days! Its an eternity for them to give a simple "hello, thank you for contacting us" reply. I strongly suggest for you guys to find a better place to host your domains, whatever reasons you are planning to, I think bluehost is NOT a reliable and safe place, its NOT worth it, at all and I advise you to stay away from them.
Websites hosted via the cloud will be more reliable. This is because your website data is duplicated and mirrored across three different drives. If a hardware issue occurs on one of the drives, two copies of your website work together to rebuild. While this is occurring, the remaining one copy of your website continues running. As a result of all this, your website won't experience outages or reboots when issues arise.

For this testing, I use a website monitoring tool to track my test sites' uptime over a 14-day period. Every 15 minutes, the tool pings each of my websites and sends me an email if it is unable to contact a site for at least one minute. The data revealed that Bluehost is incredibly stable. In fact, Bluehost didn't go down once in the two-week period.
Thanks for this article. I have to say that I had a terrible experience with Blue Host ‘support’. One operator never responded. The next 2 were sarcastic and asked questions completely bypassing my question. For example – they asked for my domain name though I wasn’t a customer and it didn’t relate to my question. When I asked why, they said their Director of Sales needs domain names to track sales made through the site. They kept me on hold for 2-3 minutes in between each question and as they only partially responded each time, it made for a very aggravating experience. Bots may have been an improvement. Definitely, would not use them.
The hosting industry has really specialized in the last decade, which gives you insanely specific options for you to choose from. While some offer the best customer support, they may lack in other areas like add-ons and uptime. The good news is you can still find top-tier hosting providers who provide a baseline of features and support for your hosting needs. Bluehost fits that description nicely.
BlueHost’s basic package price is average, but what really stands out is the lack of a money-back guarantee. This is especially bad when you consider the big price break comes with a three year contract: if you sign up for the long-term and suddenly find that your site is down regularly, there’s no way to switch hosts or to get your money back. If you have major bandwidth needs, the pro-level plan isn’t really competitively priced. This is really a better web host for individuals and companies that never anticipate growing past a certain level.

Bluehost should be on your shortlist if you've got a WordPress site. They are one of only 3 web hosting companies officially recommended by the WordPress organization. That recommendation is because they provide an optimal environment for WordPress, versus the minimum requirements at the majority of hosts. And it's because of their savvy in-house team of WordPress ninjas.
They are capable of handling high traffic, however their shared hosting plans aren’t suitable for high traffic websites. You are better off going with their VPS or dedicated server plans. Every user has access to Cloudflare, a content delivery network that helps sites with high traffic keep their servers functioning and keep their website running fast. Activating Cloudflare is easy:
There are two options to move your site. You can either do it yourself for free by manually transferring your files over to Bluehost. Alternatively, you can use the Website Transfer service to migrate up to five sites and 20 email accounts from your former hosting company. This service costs $149.99. Don’t forget; you’ll need to add the FTP option to your hosting package before you can migrate an existing site.
I Am to the edge of losing my job now due to the worst desision of my life: moving to Bluehost! It was so a terrible mistake, it has been a nightmare since the beginning. I can firmly tell you after talking to one after one after one support agent thay they don’t have the slightest idea of what they are talking about, support agents can barely speak good english (worst than mine), they talk like they are on India or somewhere there, and they are not prepare for REAL TROUBLE, they are just prepared to dumb solutions like: restart your computer, use another browser, it is your ISP problem, for God’s sake! This is a nightmare.
