It could be better, perhaps, but there is not much to complain about.

GoDaddy sit somewhere in the middle. Apart from the WP101 video tutorials, the extras in the GoDaddy WordPress installation don’t add as much to the user experience as those from Bluehost. Moreover, the lack of cPanel access with GoDaddy may be off-putting to more experienced users — not to mention the lack of support for the newer versions of PHP, no HTTP/2, and no free SSL certificate. However, the load testing did show that GoDaddy provided a resilient service.
I’ve been with bluehost 10-15 years, and used to be quite happy with their hosting, prices, and I understood the limitations of shared hosting, but for the most part it didn’t matter for my purposes. Hi Lisa… good review you’ve written. I know you criticize Bluehost for not offering website free backups, but did you know that it’s really easy to do yourself? Even my grandma could do it! Cpanel comes with a click-of-a-button website backup and restore, also if your site is on WordPress there are numerous free plugins that can do a full site backup and restore. Just my $0.02/ Tommy

Considering BlueHost servers are only located in Utah, a state in the west of the US, it is no surprise to see the West Coast show the best response times. London, one the other hand, is a disappointment. Being the only European server tested, it didn’t do well, so you can assume that your European visitors are going to have slight delays. I've used Bluehost for quite awhile. They said I was hacked once in 2016 and my accounts were all frozen and taken offline while I backed up my files and deleted them from the server. Having used Bluehost for the past 4 years I’m surprised at the number of negative reviews here. I have several domains, databases, blogs, image galleries, etc. and all have been running fine. Bluehost boasts a ticket response time average of 30 seconds, but this hardly seems to be the case in reality. During peak hours, many customers report wait times of nearly 45 minutes. Bluehost provides great value hosting products, quick live chat support. But they have stopped reseller hosting, and there are problems with previously sold reseller packages they won't fix, e.g. can't add in addon domains, and this problem can only be resolved by their QA department, which only works during US working time. For users outside US, it's a pain to get the support.

For a week I kept trying to get support to help with this, but they had no idea what the problem was. Suddenly they shut down my account because all those problems I was having were excessive server requests (from some change they did but never acknowledged. It's had problems ever since, including getting shut down twice more, the entire database disappearing twice, due to one of their automatic processes, and deleting all the backups.
My internet needs are simple. I host various domains with fairly simple websites. I do not use WordPress/Templates. I use a free version of Serif that lets me build a simple site with more flexibility. This works fine with Bluehost it just took a little effort to figure out how to publish with a slightly different file path. My sites and email work just fine.
