It is interesting to see, that it is the 36-month plan that is the cheapest, even cheaper than the longer 60-month period. For all of those packages you have to pay in advance. BlueHost, like many other EIG-owned companies, is known for outsourcing technical support to countries with much lower cost-of-living like India, which results in a rather frustrating experience at times. It's not as easy to communicate about technical troubles with a non-native English speaking person who often has a hard time understanding your problem.

At first I thought it was a bad company, but when I tried it I found that this company was the best hosting company I used. Easy to use control panel and I don't the free SSL certificate, Unlimited email storge, unlimited bandwidth, free domain, 24/7/365 super support and many of the great features that I didn't get for free from a company before but I got it with BlueHost.

Just left bluehost, and thank god I finally did. Wanna talk about price jumps ? I went from paying a little under 100 a year roughly to 200z my site was down endless amounts of times. A customer service lacks. Anytime I’ve called, it takes easily an hour to get ahold of anyone. And I recently called about my renewal, and the customer service agent snapped at me. I was completely baffled that I was treated that way by someone who is taking my money. I’m now with SiteGround.
They will make you pay for their own mistake. Charge us 1 month for the same subscription we had after calling them way ahead of time to downgrade our subscription. On top of that if you want to refund from your disputed charges deal it the same day because if they tell you they left a note so when you call back again they will know what's going on in your account FLAT OUT LIE. The next person you will talk to will say that the other person you had talk to the other day was wrong and they did their math this suppose to be the charge. ( refund become more lesser than expected maybe if you call again on the next day your refund will become zero. Every person have their different calculation.) and they will tell you they don't know how that representative come up with the noted amount ( that's after 20 mins. Waiting ). As if we come up with the amount ourselves. They are the one who gives us the number and explain the reason and maybe accidentally told you about the mistake on their part. They have recorded voice calls how about hear that so we all are on the same page. I know it's just a penny the amount but we work hard for that. And we don't cut corners in every client we have and even we are small business we value customer and honor our word. That's impirtabt. You don't say your colleague have different calculation than you have.

having used bluehost for some time and now looking for a new host, I agree with almost every point in the review. the renewal prices are bananas, it’s not worth staying for long, especially with the providers fighting for your money 🙂 🙂 :). only thing that hinders me is that WordPress+SSL thing. a free certificate is just as good as that one and if you do serious ecommerce, you wouldn’t want a shared hosting plan anyway. the support, yeah, it isn’t good but it sure as hell isn’t the worst. overall, i thought it was good but it seriously needs to lower the prices to keep its customers

On the flip side, GoDaddy’s Unlimited plan does do unlimited storage, databases, and domains – but also adds SSL certificates and Premium DNS to the plan. Bluehost provides a free shared SSL that is available to accounts which reside on a shared IP. For Standard and Pro accounts, there is only one Dedicated IP and so only one SSL Certificate. For VPS, dedicated, managed, or reseller accounts, you can purchase multiple Dedicated IP and SSL Certificates since there will be multiple cPanels created within the account.

When I have recommended a company for hosting I always mention Bluehost. Everything about the process of setup is streamlined and if you need to call Customer Service, they are wonderful. No one talks to you as if you know nothing - they assess your knowledge first - and as a customer I never feel that I actually know more than the agent I am speaking with at any time.

There is one main worldwide number to call to (it’s from the US), no matter your IP location. I’ve been slightly surprised with the options – instead of being informative and simple, some of them sounded like advertising slogans. Their excuse is that email servers are shared so things like this happen. When I point out that email has been this way since before AOL and companies like AOL, gmail and others seem to deliver email just fine, the rep always seems to finally admit the senior management at Bluehost is not funding email support to force people to buy paid email services. IMO, email is a cost-of-doing-business type of feature.
I've been with bluehost several years as I used it to host my seeds to park the domains for my upcoming projects. I have several domains there about 50 of them. Last incident happened to me that i got hacked and 7 of them were stolen and moved to name.com. I contacted name.com and they replied promptly and they said to wait for bluehost's reply and they will cooperate to move them back. However, bluehost did not reply anything until I post a negative comment on twitter, 10 days later. 10 Days! Its an eternity for them to give a simple "hello, thank you for contacting us" reply. I strongly suggest for you guys to find a better place to host your domains, whatever reasons you are planning to, I think bluehost is NOT a reliable and safe place, its NOT worth it, at all and I advise you to stay away from them.

If you have a lot of traffic on your website, it may become slow and crash a lot, this will turn off potential visitors. One way around this is to use a content delivery network, which makes it so that the content of your website is hosted on different servers in different geographic areas. Users will download the content from the nearest geographic server. Bluehost comes with Cloudflare built directly into it; Cloudflare is a top of the line content delivery network. You can enable it on any of your sites, absolutely free.
I can't rely on Bluehost when it comes to building a website for a serious business, even the dedicated hosting package, as I had too many technical issues with them and their support didn't help much, specially when it comes to server down issue, they simply tell you we are doing our best and leave you alone banging your head against the wall. I will never forget the time when my dedicated server went down for a whole week due to a major hardware failure!

Dev folks will be pleased to hear that GoDaddy offers Root access, so you can install PHP, modules, and proxy servers via the command line with ease. And another site was taken offline for almost 3 days due to bluehost’s database issues, and as I was transferring a third away from them, the whole server itself crashed, leaving me without my site’s data for the rest of the day, and the site offline. Their hosting on some of their boxes is simply unreliable, and their databases are even worse.
Every business is different, and can call for a special solution that will be designed for their business size, type of clients and staff and even specific industry they deal with. You should not count on finding an ideal service that is going to be suitable for every business regardless of their history is. It may be a good idea to read a few Bluehost reviews first and even then you should pay attention to what the hosting service is supposed to do for your company and your workers. Do you require a simple and intuitive hosting with only basic functions? Will you really use the advanced tools needed by experts and big enterprises? Are there any particular features that are especially beneficial for the industry you work in? However, Bluehost has really kept me busy with their very slow servers causing not only extremely slow page load times, but “server time out” error messages and at least 1 server downtime per month. (and I only look at the site for a few hours per week, due to the frustration of not being able to upload/add to the site due to its extremely slow page load wait times).
