A main pull factor for GoDaddy's hosting services is certainly the cost. It's hard to beat web hosting for a dollar per month, especially when they include a free domain name (with annual plan sign-up), cPanel control panel, and some of the industry's fastest webpage load times. They make it not only affordable but super easy to get started — for first-timers, bloggers, business owners, and others.
People share their opinions about companies on Twitter each and every day. I'm able to easily setup redirects, add-on additional domains to my account and easily manage the multiple domains from one easy control panel. I can setup email accounts for each domain and lump everything together under my one account and one price. They offer quite a few plugins and options for more advanced web designers and companies with more demanding needs.
When I have recommended a company for hosting I always mention Bluehost. Everything about the process of setup is streamlined and if you need to call Customer Service, they are wonderful. No one talks to you as if you know nothing - they assess your knowledge first - and as a customer I never feel that I actually know more than the agent I am speaking with at any time.
Bluehost claims that its Search Engine Jumpstart service or SoloSEO allows rapid indexing of your website on Google, Yahoo and Bing search engines. It includes a Head-to-Head Comparative Analysis Report for critical ranking criteria. You also get a step-by-step DIY SEO program and an eBook on improving the SEO rankings of your website. Though, this service looks promising for a newbie, there are several cheaper or free SEO tools available in the market that can be used for the same purpose.
The green line shows that the Bluehost performance remained stable until 17 virtual users were accessing the site simultaneously. Then, the load time increased from 2.55 seconds to 12.31 seconds. However, the performance soon returned to previous levels until 46 virtual users were accessing the site and it stopped responding, indicating it was unable to handle the load. You can view the full details of the Bluehost test results on the Load Impact website.
Bluehost has been a bad experience! We started using Bluehost about 5 years ago to host a few of our company websites. Things were fine. Then we added more websites, as well as our company email. In the last few months, we noticed our websites would go blank during the day. No explanation from Bluehost as to why it was happening – you would think they might contact us and inform us of the problem, and offer some solutions. We had to contact them – their suggestion was to move to a dedicated host because our website traffic was too large for a shared server. So we migrated. Apparently Bluehost does zero backups, and we lost a lot of valuable emails in the process. They also removed our SSL certificate, and told us it would cost $149/yr per site to get it back (we host about 20 sites). It also altered our ability to upload media files to our websites via wordpress, adversely limiting our ability to do work on our websites. Their answer is to use FTP – however, when you have 10 people who work on your websites and are familiar with WordPress, there is a learning curve to FTP.
Thanks for your review. I used this platform for several months. I personally believe that it is disqualified by the number of available functions. Beginners may have trouble finding themselves. The second issue is the 36-month plan. And if someone needs a hosing just for a year? Then he has to pay more. I personally use GetLark. Very simple client panel, cheap hosting packages (only $5 for one month, the more months the cheaper). Additionally, the hosting is free of charge for 3 months. Here is my referral link, thanks to which you’ll be able to get one month for free: https://getlark.com/panel/aff.php?aff=45

I am a doctor and in the process of setting up my own private practice website. I have bought the premium package with SEO tools. I am stuck with that and have been asking help. Keep getting promised of being called over mobile phone and be helped. It has not happened yet. Not sure what else needs to be done. Not at all happy with the service provision
People often think that a web host is the main cause of a slow website but, this is often not the case. When picking a provider, it's important for find a hosting provider that is close to your users and has a good amount of RAM and fast CPU power. Beyond that, it's often the way the website is set up that slows it down for users. To ensure that your website speed is optimal for users you need to make sure you pay attention to the following:
What can I say? You get what you paid for — bad customer service and a complete lack of respect for its customers, plus an automatic renewal feature that borders on fraudulent. In case your wondering, they’re out of Provo UT; the address is 1958 S 950 East Provo, UT 84606 — just in case you need to make a call to the Utah Attorney General’s office….
You’ll find the cPanel login details in the “welcome email” you got when you first signed up. When you have setup the nameservers (i.e. pointed your domain name to their servers) you can login to your control panel by typing this URL into your web browser: http://example.com/cpanel/. If you prefer secure logging, then the login URL is: https://example.com/securecontrolpanel. (FYI replace “example.com” with your actual domain name).
Bluehost is the official “Wordpress” recommended web hosting company. This means that WordPress.org values Blue Host hosting as the most suitable platform for running wordpress websites. Since its beginning, Bluehost has remained a favourite of webmasters across the globe. Whether it is small business owners or large enterprises or personal/professional bloggers, Bluehost offers plans and features for all – shared hosting, managed wordpress hosting, cloud hosting, VPS and dedicated servers.
As far as pricing goes, they are fairly close, but I would give the edge to Hostgator here. As with any hosting, the longer term you sign up for, the cheaper it will be. In addition to that, renewal rates are usually always more expensive than the introductory rates. In this sense, I think HostGator has a little less “renewal shock” in my option, and over the years, they have been more willing to adjust renewal pricing than Bluehost.
having used bluehost for some time and now looking for a new host, I agree with almost every point in the review. the renewal prices are bananas, it’s not worth staying for long, especially with the providers fighting for your money 🙂 🙂 :). only thing that hinders me is that WordPress+SSL thing. a free certificate is just as good as that one and if you do serious ecommerce, you wouldn’t want a shared hosting plan anyway. the support, yeah, it isn’t good but it sure as hell isn’t the worst. overall, i thought it was good but it seriously needs to lower the prices to keep its customers
ite because of their internal decision to end VPS hosting. There was absolutely no forewarning, no email, no advance anything. My site was just closed, all content is restricted, its been a full week now with no solution on their part. My paid contract runs another 6 months. They are offline in their chat and take an average of 3-4 days to respond to our emails. I understand that they have decided to terminate my VPS set-up. That is their prerogative. But to fail to contact the client, restrict the site, and then not answer emails is ABSOLUTELY unacceptable in the realm of web hosting. Please please please learn from my experience and take your hosting elsewhere. At this point we have our fingers crossed just to restore our content before migrating to another hosting platform.
I then had to create a ticket and it took 4 days to get an update on the ticket. As well, in terms of page speed, the "Server response time" is always above 1 second, which is way above the Google Page Speed recommended limit of 300ms, and this is with cloud hosting which is supposed to be fast. All in all, if you haven't chosen yet, don't choose bluehost.
These guys are awesome, I've had them for three years and they are always up and running (unless you download and install the wrong plug-in for your wordpress site)... but you can call their customer support and within minutes, they'll have you up and running and excluding my plug-in error, the server has been up 100% of the time (and I have about 30 domains with full sites... they're not pointed or parked)... definitely get them!!1
I like the version of cPanel that they are using because you can drag around the different panels and organize it in a way that works best for you. Bluehost offers simple 1 click installs of many popular web scripts including WordPress, ZenCart, phpBB using the SimpleScripts installer. For developers, Bluehost also supports the popular Ruby on Rails web framework.
It is only fair to put the hosting plans at Bluehost in the affordable hosting services category. To sweeten the deal further, Blue host has agreed to offer 63% discount on their shared hosting plan along with a free domain name for visitors of intairnet.org. So, if you use our exclusive Bluehost Coupon Code, you can get their hosting at just $2.95 a month. This Bluehost Promo of $2.95/mo allows maximum savings and can be availed by clicking on the link below that takes you to Bluehost.com and activates the special Bluehost discounted pricing.
But the fact proves that it's definitely a right choice I made. Not only did they migrated all the sites content seamlessly without any downtime, my visitors could not feel anything during the transition, but they even provide valuable information on the possible ways to improve my site(speed&seo). I highly appreciated the staff, as they are truly working from the perspective of customers, not just sales.
That said, we do require all customers to be fully compliant with our Terms of Service and utilize disk space and bandwidth in a manner consistent with the normal operation of a personal or small business website. While rare, we do occasionally have to constrain certain accounts that use resources beyond what would be expected in the normal operation of a personal or small business website.
We realize that when you make a decision to buy Hosting Services it’s important not only to see how experts evaluate it in their reviews, but also to find out if the real people and companies that buy it are actually satisfied with the product. That’s why we’ve created our behavior-based Customer Satisfaction Algorithm™ that gathers customer reviews, comments and Bluehost reviews across a wide range of social media sites. The data is then presented in an easy to digest form showing how many people had positive and negative experience with Bluehost. With that information at hand you should be equipped to make an informed buying decision that you won’t regret.
I have hosted seven of my customer’s websites on Bluehost for nearly ten years. Not once during that time have my clients lost one minute of hosting service for any reason. Part of the reason for that I believe is because of the periodic updating of their servers. Bluehost appears to be operating and meticulously maintaining state of the art servers. Another factor in Bluehost’s outstanding performance in the quality and skill of the technical support representatives. When I have had a question about online renewal of my customers domain licenses or hosting or file uploads I can confidently tell my customers that I will have an answer for their questions in a matter of minutes. My confidence in Bluehost technical support was developed over those same seven years in never once having to wait for my call to be picked-up, never once having a support person provide an incorrect answer or solution to a request, never once having to ask a representative if they could transfer me to someone who spoke English. I will always reward a vendor that provides this level of service and this level of professional integrity, with my loyalty.
