Bluehost 2 Websites
Thanks for this article. I have to say that I had a terrible experience with Blue Host ‘support’. One operator never responded. The next 2 were sarcastic and asked questions completely bypassing my question. For example – they asked for my domain name though I wasn’t a customer and it didn’t relate to my question. When I asked why, they said their Director of Sales needs domain names to track sales made through the site. They kept me on hold for 2-3 minutes in between each question and as they only partially responded each time, it made for a very aggravating experience. Bots may have been an improvement. Definitely, would not use them.
Matt took a couple of years off before jumping back into business with his second hosting venture, 0catch.com which ended up with over 3 million signups and to this date still has over 1.1 million active users. With the help of the 0catch team he had built, Matt set his sights on a more feature rich premier hosting solution – one that still catered to beginner users but also to a more tech savvy user who would pay more for add-on services and enhancements to the core hosting solution.
Comparing Bluehost and GoDaddy on price is quite difficult for 2 reasons. First, they both run frequent specials (see Bluehost’s current deal here & GoDaddy’s here), so their pricing is never going to exactly align in the short-term. Second, GoDaddy breaks their tiers of service down differently from Bluehost, who reworked their tiers in 2016. The new Bluehost tiers consist of a super cheap, but limited Basic plan, and a Pro tier with a couple domain upsells. The tiers on Bluehost and GoDaddy are apples to oranges – with a different tiering focus for each. Here’s an approximate cheat sheet for now –
I have around 20 sites hosted with Bluehost under several different accounts, including my own company’s site on a VPS plan. The live chat is extremely slow, the reps don’t bother to read your initial post (I include the last 4 validation to try and speed up getting to the root question, so what is the first thing I am asked for? “Please validate your account.”), and their product knowledge at times is poor, to say the least. Phone support is usually a lot faster, plus you’re apt to get someone more technically adept.
They are worth comparing against other similar budget hosts as they offer a wide variety of plans with certain niche advantages. You may want to keep an eye out for a few things that our researchers found, however. Uptime and speeds are significantly lower than most competitors (especially higher-priced competitors), and Bluehost customer service is not as helpful as one would hope.
At the time of my blogging starting days, I do not know anything how to start a blog, how to choose good web hosting, how to write articles, etc. I started my blogging journey with Blogspot blog on 2008. Started with 5 blogs with different topics. After one and a half year of my journey, three blogs disabled by Google. Here my mind is blank. What next… What next …. What next…. Started hunting for better solutions for my journey. One of the Facebook friends suggested and introduced Self-hosted WordPress hosting. He configured everything for me. Again started my second journey. After three months the hosting service stopped my blog. Again another break on my journey.

Now that you have a baseline understanding of what makes Bluehost tick it is time to break down some of the hosting packages and their corresponding cost. While we have stated above that Bluehost is an extremely affordable option it can vary considerably in what features you get for different pricing tiers. In the section below we will dissect each package so you can determine which might be the best fit for your website.
By targeting a consumer base of people who are looking for their first web host, Bluehost has succeeded at making their interface easy to navigate and use. You won't have to deal with technical details. And, when you need help, their dedicated customer support team is available at all hours. This should all put Bluehost at the top of anyone's list of hosting companies to consider.
Customer support has been a focus of the GoDaddy team as they constantly work to improve. Today, they have an award-winning team of experts on staff, readily available to handle customer support tickets and emails 24 hours a day, seven days a week. While they're on hand to talk you through any issues, they're also keeping an eye on your server (as well as other clients sharing your server). Their security monitoring is round-the-clock and they guarantee uptime rates of 99.9% or better. This uptime rate is by no means outstanding in the industry, but for most end-users, it's all that's required. Their page load speeds (the time it takes for your webpages to load) are industry-leading, however.
The company was founded in 1996, by Matt Heaton, who had this idea to provide an efficient web hosting service. Bluehost happens to be a persistent web hosting solution since then. The current CEO is Mike Oslon, appointed by EIG.

I've had Bluehost for over a year and am deeply disappointed. The people who run the service spend all their time pitching extra services instead of making their service better. When I sought advice from them, they recommended I buy services that I later found I didn't need. (They lied to me.) When I tried to turn off the autorenew for these services, I was told by their rep that THERE WAS NO WAY TO TURN OFF AUTORENEW. In other words, they would keep recharging my card forever. I told the rep flatly that they had no legal right to charge my card for a service that I canceled. He said he turned it off, but they didn't, and have been emailing everyday. (I canceled my card to avoid the autorenew.) I could go on with other complaints but will keep this short. Don't use them. They're gangsters.
